The NRC was first opened in 1970 in Claremont, Cape Town, South Africa by Guy Wertheim-Aymes. Guy is the founder of the Pharma Natura brand, and in 1964 became the first distributor of the Weleda brand in South Africa, with which he is involved.
Natural Remedies Centre is a Weleda-Optilife health centre.
We have a wide selection of herbal and homeopathic remedies, vitamins, Stefani water filters, cosmetics including the Weleda range , health foods and organic baby cereals. We specialise in products for Immune compromised conditions.
Our registered homeopathic doctor, Dr Evelyn Goss is employed on a full time basis to offer advice. Evelyn is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa, as a graduate of the University of Pretoria as a compounding homeopath.
We have a Bone Fracture Risk Measurement device and a special Capillary Microscope from which the state of your health can be analysed within minutes.
In addition, we have other health care professionals as part of our team. Dr Neil Burman MBChB (UCT 1966) MRCP (UK 1974) is a key advisor to Weleda-Optilife South Africa. Dr Burman is a specialist in preventative medicine, healthy natural hormone therapy, as well as critical care and internal medicine.
Every Thursday morning we have a Primary Health Care Clinic (linked to Path Care Labs) run by Sister Yvette.
